A new six-story apartment building in downtown Green Bay? The company proposes a project of more than 26 million dollars

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A new six-story apartment building may soon be making its way to downtown Green Bay as a company has already acquired several properties and is looking for more.

Barsan Corporation officials have announced a proposed development of the 500 block of North Broadway in downtown Green Bay. Barsan Corporation said it controls some of the properties in the block.

However, there are still some properties that they do not control. These remaining properties include a city-owned parcel and a duplex. Barsan reportedly asked the city to help him acquire the properties.

Officials said all structures on the properties will be demolished to make way for a new apartment building. This apartment building will have 84 units at market price and will be six stories high. The project would have cost approximately $26,090,000.

The apartment would include one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. This is the same company that recently announced plans for a former sporting goods store store on North Broadway.

“These projects we are proposing will represent the entrance to the Broadway Corridor,” said Barsan Corporation President Filip Barsan.

According to to Brown County GIS map, “519 LLC” owns the properties from 515 to 523 North Broadway. The City of Green Bay is listed as the owner of 511 North Broadway.
