Art exhibitions, tasting downtown during the weekend of May 14

Many events will take place in the region during the weekend of Saturday May 14th.
Jay Tunes Entertainment will be hosting a karaoke contest on Friday, May 13 at Sedalia Moose Lodge 1494, 119 Winchester Dr.
Regular karaoke and music with DJ Jay will take place from 7-9pm and after the contest. Check-in for the competition is at 8 p.m., with the performance at 9 p.m. The winners will move on to the Warsaw Jubilee Days Karaoke Contest.
Applicants must be 18 or older and a non-professional amateur singer. Two winners will be chosen by a panel of three judges.

MMA Fine Arts Fair
Houstonia’s Linda Hoover is the featured artist at the 2022 Mid-Missouri Artists Fine Arts Show on May 14-15. Hoover will have a special exhibition of his work and will be available to discuss his art with show visitors.
The 2022 Fine Arts Fair will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 and from 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 in the gymnasium of the Warrensburg Community Center. The show is open to the public. Live music will be provided on Saturday by Gary Moege and Sunday by the Sunday Schoolhouse Jammers.
Spring Fling Art Exhibition
The Spring Fling Art Show at Hayden Liberty Center is available through Friday, May 13.
The annual juried exhibition is organized by the Sedalia Visual Art Association and awards prizes in the two-dimensional, three-dimensional and junior categories. The judge for the exhibition was Hannah Reeves, co-owner of the Sager Reeves Gallery at Columbia.
The Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. Fifth St. The center is open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Rejection of street food
Several food vendors will be present at the Missouri State Fairgrounds handicap parking lot off 16th Street. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

Come, Sip, Shop
Warrensburg Main Street and the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce will host Come, Sip, Shop from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 in downtown Warrensburg.
Visitors can spend a day sipping regional wines, beer, and spirits at various locations downtown. The day will feature a variety of alcoholic beverages to enjoy while shopping in storefronts downtown.
Tickets are $25 per person before the event and include a stemless cup to use during the walk through downtown. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Participants must be 21 years or older. Identity will be verified upon check-in.

301 Street Cars will host its monthly cruise party from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 14.

There will be a 50/50 draw and other draws.
Powell Gardens and Storm Dancer Farms will host Wildly Cute from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15 at Powell Gardens, 1609 NW US Highway 50 in Kingsville.
The event is included in admission.
Celebrate the emergence of spring with the latest creatures of the season. Baby goats, bunnies, chicks and lambs from Storm Dancer Farms will be on hand for the whole family to cuddle and pose with.
