On the AthFest website…

AthFest is a free annual three-day festival that celebrates the vibrant creative culture of Athens, GA, featuring local and regional musicians and visual artists. Thousands of people flock to the streets of historic downtown Athens each AthFest to experience live music from artists of various genres, admire local artwork and soak up the atmosphere of the one of the coolest cities in America. Locals mingle with locals from outside as music fills the air and art, food and fun fill the streets.

The festival features three free outdoor stages with live musical performances, a one-block Artists’ Market featuring dozens of visual artists, artisans and creators, and a one-block KidsFest area to ensure that even our youngest fans have fun with music and art. !

AthFest 2022 also includes ticketed club shows at two of Athens’ most iconic venues: the 40 Watt Club and Georgia Theater, after the outdoor stages have closed, and a Sunday Gospel Brunch at Hendershot’s.

AthFest raises funds for the non-profit organization AthFest Educates, which provides grants to support music and arts education for K-12 students in Athens.
