Cruisin’ Night returns to downtown Geneva after a two-year hiatus | Company

GENEVA — Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles will be back on the streets of downtown Geneva on Friday July 15.

The 21st Cruisin’ Night reappears after being scrapped for the past two years due to the pandemic.

The Geneva Business Improvement District, the organizer of the event, said in a statement that Cruisin’ not only offers classic wheels, but also live music, food, wine and beer, art, retail vendors, and activities for children.

It takes place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Seneca Street, Linden Street, Scott LaFaro Drive and part of Exchange Street. Two bands are in the spotlight: Ruby Shooz will perform on the main stage in the Seneca Street parking lot, while The Remakes and Smooth Groovy will perform on the second stage on Exchange Street.

“We are thrilled to bring back Cruisin’ Night and the opportunity it provides to invite people, not only from Geneva but also from the surrounding area, to our beautiful downtown,” the BID statement said. “We’ve had the opportunity to thrive over the past few years and we want our neighbors to come celebrate with us and see what we’ve done, and how better to do that than a fun family event?”

Cruisin’ Night 2022 is sponsored by Wegmans.

“We are honored to partner with (BID) to bring Cruisin’ Night back to the Geneva community,” said Matt Morano, Store Manager Geneva Wegmans. “This event has been a summer tradition for years, and we can’t wait to see the community come together and enjoy a night of vintage cars, shows and delicious treats.”

BID is accepting vendor applications for Cruisin’ Night through June 24. and download their supplier contracts. To volunteer, visit the GBID website at
