DoorDash Opens Ghost Kitchen Food Hall in Downtown Brooklyn

Hungry Brooklynites looking for something tasty to deliver, pick up, or even dine in now have access to a few more restaurants.

DoorDash Kitchens has just opened its new downtown Brooklyn location at Nimbus, a woman-founded, New York-based ghost kitchen concept. The new DoorDash initiative brings both local favorites as well as national restaurants to the space, allowing them to prepare and cook their delivery and takeout meals in a shared facility. Partner restaurants include the famous restaurant in Brooklyn Kings Co Imperialthe south williamsburg food joint Pies and thighs, moon bowls and its healthy Korean bowls, Little Caesars‘ pizza and DomoDomoa sushi restaurant.

The project aims to benefit both customers and restaurateurs. While customers benefit from having another delivery center nearby, restaurants themselves can improve productivity without having to commit to opening a new location.

“We pride ourselves on providing diners with fresh, delicious sushi whether they’re dining in or ordering takeout,” Chef Brian, executive chef and co-founder of DomoDomo, said in a statement. “Partnering with DoorDash Kitchens allows us to meet customer demand in Brooklyn without fully committing to a second physical location.”

While it’s a ghost kitchen in the sense that it’s focused on delivery and takeout, the new Brooklyn location will also be DoorDash Kitchens’ first location offering dining space for up to to 20 people. After collecting their food, diners can choose to take it home or sit at the table, and can even take advantage of a lounge area to relax after a big meal. Those looking for a refreshing drink or a cup of coffee will be able to get it directly from the delivery hall, which will offer drinks from Birch coffee. Guests who have a little room for dessert can also treat themselves to pastries from Kado Patisri and sweets from milk bar.

“We are proud to partner with DoorDash in providing turnkey kitchen infrastructure and community event spaces to their partner restaurants,” Nimbus co-founder and CEO Camilla Opperman said in a statement. “DoorDash has fiercely advocated for the growth of these restaurants by supporting their delivery and pickup operations, so we are excited to complement these efforts by managing real estate, supporting kitchen operations and hosting events from our community front. -Of house.”

Customers in Dumbo, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Gowanus, Clinton Hill, and Prospect Heights can enjoy delivery from this location, and anyone in the area can order their food for pickup . Specific hours vary by restaurant. Dining at DoorDash Kitchens Brooklyn is available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with takeout only until 11:00 p.m.

To celebrate the opening of the new DoorDash Kitchens location, diners can get a limited 30% off their first pickup or delivery order (up to $15) at each of the partner restaurants through May 31. Use codes DOMO30, KING30, PIES30, MOON30 or CAESAR30 to take advantage of the promotion.
