Many activities downtown on Grad Saturday

Grad Weekend will soon be in Albion, with plenty of activities and events planned for Saturday, June 18.
Unfortunately a special event scheduled for Friday June 17th had to be canceled at Valley View Flowers east of Albion as the June 6th hailstorm wiped out many of their flowers. This event was to include live music.
Saturday outdoor activities are subject to weather conditions.
Breakfast, Beer Race
All events scheduled for Saturday are still scheduled, starting with the PTO Pancake Breakfast on Fourth Street from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
A beer run, sponsored by the Albion Chamber of Commerce, will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Fourth and Church Streets. Registration starts at 8 a.m.

The Albion Street Festival and Market, with vendors, live music and a beer garden, will be downtown from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Albion Area Arts Council brings live music to the street fair with the band “Last Minute” on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The beer garden will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food truck vendor lunch available, with 12 produce vendors offering produce and crafts.
Auto showroom
Smoke n’ Chrome Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. downtown on Main and Third streets.
This year, Smoke ‘n Chrome will feature a large American flag, as well as a presentation of the flag by the Albion Veterans Color Guard.
Banquets and Evenings
Albion/Boone Central Alumni Banquet will be the main event at Albion on Saturday night.
School visits to Boone Central will take place on Saturdays at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The Albion/Boone Central Alumni Banquet will begin at 6 p.m. at Boone Central Gym. The classes honored this year are 2012, 2002, 1997, 1992, 1982, 1972, 1967 and 1962.
The program includes athlete recognition by the Albion Downtown Athletic Club.
An alumni street dance will follow the banquet at 8 p.m. downtown on Fourth Street.
